The INS ( Italian National Scheme) Biofuels and Bioliquid Sustainability Certification is a certification system established by the Italian Government to ensure the sustainability of biofuels and bioliquids used in Italy. The intention is to promote the production and use of renewable fuels while minimizing environmental and social impacts.

This certification scheme sets criteria for sustainable production, including environmental consideration such as greenhouse gas emission (GHG), land use, and biodiversity conservation, as well as social aspects such as labor rights and community engagement.

Producers and suppliers of biofuels and bioliquids must comply with these criteria to receive products meets certain sustainability standards. this cert helps consumers and businesses make informed choices about the biofuels and bioliquids they use, supporting Italy’s efforts to transition towards cleaner and more sustainable energy sources
